Terms of service

You must be at least 18 years old in order to commission.

It is recommended that you have at least a very basic understanding of electronics. Especially if you buy the electronics kit and plan to attach it to the frame by yourself.

Typically a full kit commission will take 2-3 months to complete but it can vary greatly based on how busy I am. I make protogens as a hobby, so work and other things wil take priority over them.

I use leaded solder. It is not dangerous as long as you don't eat it. It is a good habbit to wash your hands after handeling it

Communication & quotes

You can contact me using telegram. I always try to answer as fast as possible but I can be busy so sometimes it might take 1-2 days for me to answer.

A clear reference sheet of the expressions you want is needed, so that I can give you a quote. The sheet should include drawings of each expression and also a verbal explanation on how the expression should work. It is recommended to share at least some parts of the expressions (eye, mouth, nose, ...) between other expresions. This will reduce the amount of work needed to create the expressions, so the price will be cheaper also.

I will create the pixel art for the expressions based on your drawings. Because of limited amount of pixels available, it is impossible for the expressions to have the exact shape as in your reference sheet. If you want parts of the expressions to have an exact shape, then you can draw the expressions as pixel art.

The 64x32 LED panel is not fully visible after being mounted in the head. The image below shows roughly the usable area on the panels. Take this into acount when designing your expressions. Especially if you draw the individual pixels

I will send pics/videos as work progresses. You are encouraged to give feedback based on the pics/videos. It is much easier to change things earlier than later.

Payment

I accept Paypal and bank transfer (only for Finnish customers). When paying with Paypal, a 3.4% fee will be added to the total payment.

All prices are in EUROS and I refuce to accept any other curencies. With Pyapal you can pay with euros even if your country doesn't use them.

You are required to put down ~40% down payment of the total cost of your commission to begin with. The amount can vary depending on what you have ordered and what is the total value. Cheaper items like handpaw controllers must be fully payed in one payment.

The exact payment schedule after the down payment is discussed with the customer. I will not ship anything until everything has been paid in full.

Shipping

Shipping costs are NOT included in the full price you've recieved through a quote. Shipping cost depends on the country and size of the package.

I can't ship batteries outside of EU. Customers outside of EU are responsible for buying their own batteries but I will give some recommendations. Handpaw controllers require rechargable LiPo batteries and the main controller board requires a CR1220 battery

I am not responsible for any damaged or lost products during the shipping process. I will of course try my best to to help in case this happens.

Local pickups are available as well for anyone who wants to come pick it up from here. I can also bring your order to nearby events that I attend.

Client is responsible for any extra shipping costs and taxes when ordering outside of EU. I will always write the real value of the contents on the package.

Warranty & repairs

Your electronics and sofware have a 6 month warranty starting from when you've recieved your order. This warranty covers parts that get damaged under a normal and careful use.

Repair costs that goes under warranty, are repaired for free. Unfortunately possible shipping costs are paid by the client.

Warranty does not cover damage that is caused by accidents or modifcations. If you wish to modify your electronics, please contact me first.

After 6 months, I can provide repairing services or modifications for a fee. This fee is discussed with the client. Slight modifications to the software like moving parts of the expressions or changing colors can be done for free at any point.

Cancellation & refunds

The 40% down payment is non-refundable as it is used to buy the components. Once the electronics are completed, refund is not possible. If the commission was cancelled during production the refund may vary on how much progress and time was invested.

If the commission is never payed in full, I hold the right keep all the parts (frame, visor) sent by the customer.

I hold the right to refuse and refund in full at my discretion
