Protogen controller and other electronics
I offer electronics and software solutions for protogen heads. My electronics include a vast range of features, which you can find below. Currently, I only offer controllers for HUB75 LED panels. My electronics are designed to fit frames bought from JtingF. They have not been tested with other frames. My only services are assembling and mounting electronics, so it is the customer's responsibility to supply their own protogen head frame. If you want to write your own software, I can offer a base code. The code includes all basic functions needed to control the hardware.
This is what is included in a protogen electronics commission package:- All electronics required for a protogen head (Controller, LED panels, LED Circles and Sensors)
- Software with your choice of expressions
- Frame and visor
- Sanding and painting the frame
- Furring the head
- USB PD power bank

All of my standard protogen heads have the following features:
- 64x32 RGB LED panels
- Custom controller PCB for electronics
- High performance microcontroller to run the software
- FPGA to drive the LED panels
- High refresh rate to prevent flicker when photographed in bright environments
- RGB LEDs for side circles
- Wireless controll using ESP-NOW
- Powered using USB PD
- Fully-integrated electronics within the head(with the exception of the power bank)
- Time-of-flight sensor for detecting boop that works even in direct sunlight
- OLED screen to show user info
- Gyro and acceleration sensor
- 2x internal microphones and a throat microphone
- 3x fans for excellent ventilation and to keep visor fog-free, even in cold weather
- SD card for GIFs and audio files
- RTC for time keeping
- Firmware updates using USB
- Fully hand-assembled and tested
Here are some examples of expressions that I offer. I can do many other types of expressions too. If you have something special in mind, feel free to ask.
The boop mechanic can add sprites and change the current expression.
A gradient can be added to any part of the expression. This includes rainbow gradients.
Expressions can be made gravity-reactive.
Audio-reactive expressions are possible. This includes a moving mouth when the user speaks.
Four different brightness levels with high FPS of 600-2300, depending on the brightness.
Photo mode to increase FPS to 3000-3800, so that it is possible to take photos of the face in bright light without any interferance patterns being visible.
Can play audio with an external speaker. Expressions can play sounds, or music can be played with the integrated music player.
GIFs can played and combined with audio files.
All electronics are mounted inside the head. Only one power cable is needed to connect to an outside power bank.

A PCB, which is designed by me and hand-assembled, is used to control my protogen electronics.
